ALL WELCOME
There will be a range of activities for all ages and interests. We are especially keen to welcome newcomers. This is a day to help embrace the sense of belonging, get to know others and explore the wider sense of community.

PROGRAMME
The day will start with coffee at 9.30am, and then a short introductory all-age session with worship, followed by some deeper reflection for the adults through belonging-themed workshops (details to follow) and separate activities for the children and young people. We will then share a hot lunch, have some free time to chat, play, read, relax or walk around the lovely college grounds. We will conclude with an all ages Eucharist. The day will end at approximately 4.00 pm with time for a final drink and chat before heading home.
What the day is looking like so far
The overall theme is “Belonging”. To whet your appetite, we can confirm that the day will include workshops loosely based on the following:
-
Prayer and Belonging, led by Rev Alan Stewart and Jane Chaplin (from St Andrew’s)
-
Belonging through the expression of drama (led by from Jules and Mick Donovan (from St Andrew’s) designed to get you believing in your inner thespian qualities
-
Exploring what belonging means to everyone - more to follow from Kath Oates (from St Mary’s)
-
Home – what does this feel like to you? (A great new offering from Juliet and Alastair Curry from St Mary’s)
Plus, of course,
music from Sam Chaplin,
children’s activities for all ages, a
Eucharist all-age service and, hot off the press and new this year, ‘
drop-in sessions’ organised by Kath Oates and Julie Hollings.
Please note that there won’t be a 9.15am service at St Mary’s or a 10.30am service at St Andrew’s or on Zoom that day. There will be a short 8.00am service at St Andrew’s.

COST (payment will be requested once your place is confirmed)
The cost of the day will be £42 per adult, with children (under 18s) being free. However, anyone who wishes to participate but is concerned about the cost can either add a note to the booking form or email
awayday.hertfordstandrews@gmail.com. We do not want anyone to be unable to attend on grounds of expense.
DONATIONS
In previous years, some have offered to pay more than £42 to cover the cost for others who may find it difficult to come without financial support. If you feel you can offer this support please just increase your payment when paying for the place.

If you have any questions, please speak to Rev. Alan or email:

A DAY AT ALL NATIONS
We are returning to the beautiful venue of All Nations College, Easneye, Ware. Just a short journey from Hertford, we will experience a building that dates back to 1869, since when it has maintained a consistent Christian presence. In 1979, it took on its present name and is now one of Europe’s largest centres for ministry and missionary training. It is also a regular venue for conferences, with most rooms, including toilets and communal areas, having wheelchair access. More information about the college can be found here: https://www.allnations.ac.uk/
Join us at this local venue for what should be a fantastic time away for all.
