"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
2 Corinthians 9: 7-8
Giving to St Andrew's Church
Our expenditure supports our strategic aims, which include:
Reaching out with the Gospel in Hertford
Sending people out to serve Christ in their daily lives
Being a place of prayer and worship
Raising our mission giving
The average annual cost of running our church is £150k a year spent as follows:
£82k pa on the Parish share, which covers clergy pay, housing and pensions
£20k pa on church running expenses including heat, light, insurance and on-going maintenance
£20k pa on worship and parish work including the cost of church services, website, magazine, music and clergy expenses
£20k pa on youth and children's work, including a dedicated youth worker
£8k pa on supporting missions and charities at home and overseas
The financial support of the ministry is almost entirely dependent upon the giving of the church family and friends. We therefore ask all members of the St Andrew's family to consider making some contribution, however large or small, to the work.
