Women of St Andrew's
“The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian, but the fact that I am a Christian does make me a different kind of woman.” Elisabeth Elliot
The Women of St Andrew's have been enjoying a variety of events, enabling the 'fairer sex' at the church to learn a new skill, socialise with one another and, simply, to enjoy ourselves! With more than fifty women in the group, each outing has involved a varied selection of us getting together to do something different. We have met for drinks, been to the movies, enjoyed a summer country walk, shared a wonderfully relaxed evening in Ruby, the Church's neighbouring Indian restaurant, savoured discussions along with mouth-watering desserts ('Questions and Afters') and also got our creative juices flowing during a pottery night.
When we went to Fanhams Hall Hotel, Ware, for Afternoon Tea, we had our own private room and we were treated to delicious sandwiches and cakes along with refreshing cups of tea - all washed down with great company! Here are some pictures from the afternoon (details of future events, and who to contact, are below):
Discussion Group: Bible study, coffee and chat
Join us at St Andrew's Church on alternate Tuesday mornings, 10.00-11.30am in term time. We would love more of you to join us (men and women) for friendly, informal discussion on a wide range of topics. We start each session with an excerpt from the bible and then just take it from there!
Please check the church calendar on this website to confirm when the Discussion Group is meeting.
Please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
