On a number of occasions in the past we have been away for a weekend as a church.  Sadly Hengrave Hall where we have been in recent years has now closed, but we have found somewhere else that looks to have all that we are looking for.  It is Hothorpe Hall at Theddingworth in south Leicestershire and we have booked it for the weekend of the 25 -27th September 2009.   

We really hope that folk will sign up for the weekend.  It is a great way of getting to know one another and we have had great fun and inspirational talks and worship times in the past.  You can visit Hothorpe Hall’s website at www.Hothorpe.co.uk where you can view the facilities. On visiting the place we were pleasantly surprised to discover this purpose- built Christian Conference Centre in the heart of the country.  The facilities include family, double and single rooms, most of which are en-suite, a creche, wheelchair access to some of the en-suite bedrooms and conference rooms, licensed bar, tennis court and other outside games areas.  There are lovely walks nearby and the food is apparently locally sourced and served in the dining room.  Most meals are buffet service but Sunday lunch is waitress served.

Do please consider going and let me know if you are interested.  The cost will be worked out nearer the time, but please don't let the cost be a deterent as we want to ensure that anyone who wants to go does go.
