Prayer
Prayer is the lifeblood of any church.
In church we have a prayer space where people can post their prayers and light candles. Every member of St Andrew’s is encouraged to pray through a very short daily office (prayers to begin and end the day). Copies of these prayers can be found in the prayer space. Everyone is also invited to pray before the Sunday service in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel from 10am. There is a monthly prayer meeting specifically praying for the future of the church and in particular the new St Andrew’s Centre. Laying on of hands for healing is offered at the midweek service on the first Wednesday of each month and at the 10.30am Sunday service every third Sunday of the month. Night prayer or Compline is held every Thursday at 8pm. This is a short reflective, candle-lit service in the Celtic style - a perfect way to de-stress and end the day. For details of the contemplative prayer group and healing services please see the diary section.
There is also a confidential prayer group in the parish.
Please contact us if there is something you would like us to pray for.
